Browsing Recipes
Discover and explore recipes on Foodie. Browse featured picks, free weekly recipes, and the latest additions.
Steps
The Recipes page is your starting point for finding something to cook. Head to Recipes in the menu bar to get started.

What You'll See
The default "Home" view organizes recipes into three sections:
- Our Best Recipes highlights a curated set of standout dishes.
- Free This Week is a rotating selection of free recipes that changes every week. These recipes are available to everyone, and they're chosen to share overlapping ingredients so grocery shopping is simpler.
- Recently Added shows the latest recipes added to Foodie.
Each recipe card shows the dish image, title, cook time, and badges like "Free!" or "Video Guides" when applicable. Tap any card to open the full recipe detail page.
Filters and Sorting
Use the filter bar above the recipe grid to narrow results. Available filters include:
- Home (default view with curated sections)
- All (every recipe)
- Air Fryer, Rice Cooker, Instant Pot (by appliance)
- Budget Friendly, Beginner Friendly, Minimal Cleanup, Storage Friendly (by lifestyle)
- Asian, Vegetarian, Vegan (by cuisine or diet)
The sort dropdown lets you order recipes by Most Recent or Cook Time. Tap the arrow icon to toggle between ascending and descending order.
Free Weekly Rotation
Every week, Foodie makes a fresh set of recipes available for free. These aren't random picks. The recipes share common ingredients, so if you cook a few in the same week, your grocery list stays short and nothing goes to waste. Learn more about the weekly menu.
Search
Use the search bar at the top of the Recipes page to find exactly what you're looking for. You can search for:
- Recipe names like "carbonara," "pad thai," or "chicken soup"
- Ingredients like "sweet potato," "ground beef," or "tofu"
- Concepts and occasions like "date night," "quick weeknight dinner," "Thanksgiving," or "comfort food"
Concept-based search is what makes Foodie's search special. It understands the meaning behind your words, so "easy summer lunch" finds light, simple recipes even if those exact words aren't in the title.

Tip: Try creative searches. "Impress my in-laws" or "rainy day cooking" might surprise you with what comes up.
Tip: Save any recipe you like by tapping the save icon on the card. It'll be waiting in your collection whenever you're ready to cook.
