Watermelon Shaved Ice
This is one of the most simple and unreasonably satisfying desserts to make that hits especially hard on a hot summer day. It requires nothing but frozen watermelon, a grater, and a can-do attitude (you'll see). The watermelon by itself is already incredible as is but folks dress it up with all kinds of toppings like condensed milk, honey, crushed pistachios, lime juice, or even Tajín. If you'd like, you can experiment with other fruits like strawberries, mangos, oranges, and more - there are no wrong choices.

- Prepare the watermelon by cutting it down into wedges.
- Freeze your watermelon for a few hours or overnight. To avoid keeping an entire watermelon in your freezer, only freeze the number of wedges necessary! It only takes about 2 wedges per serving.
- 2 wedge watermelon, frozen (300 g)
- (Optional) Chill and freeze your serving bowls ahead of time to keep the shaved ice cold for longer.
- When ready to serve, take the frozen watermelon wedges and grate it into a (chilled) bowl.
- 2 wedge watermelon, frozen (300 g)
- To serve, top it with condensed milk, lime juice, and / or any toppings of your choice. Enjoy!
- 1 tbsp condensed milk (18 g)(can also use other sweeteners like honey)
- 1 tbsp lime juice (15 g)(optional)
- 1 tbsp condensed milk (18 g)
