- Start by trimming the ends of the leaves off the Chinese broccoli and slicing the ends of the large parts of the stems in half. Simmer some hot water and add vegetable oil and broccoli. Let it simmer for a few minutes and drain it.

- For the sauce, combine water, cornstarch, minced garlic, sugar, and oyster sauce in a saucepan. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens. Cook for a few minutes more.

- 1 tsp sugar (4 g)
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce (45 g)
- When ready to serve, pour the sauce over the Chinese broccoli.
